Two of my favourite things as of recently!
The old:
The silent film 'Alice in Wonderland' from 1903. Simply amazing!
And, the new:
This video, 'Alice' by Nick Bertke consists of 90% recorded clips from the 1951 Disney film, 'Alice in Wonderland'. It sounds very Bjork to me and is definately something I am taking to.
I think I shall stick to the 'old'. My grandmother always stated I should have been born before my time. The older I become, the more I realise she may be right.
Amidst drooling over the KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer [in cream] and dodging pelting hail on yesterday [it did give us an excuse to find refuge in local toasty coffee shops!], handsome man 'o mine happened upon these little treats -Vinila's Pepe and Friends to add a little character to any kitchen. I am absolutely smitten. Now, if I could only decide which I want to buy first.
The weather is ever so strange in England today. Mrs Cat and Pippi LeKitten are basking in the sunshine as I type and ........it is snowing. Snowflakes galore off and on all day. The day before Easter. I've seen a lot of quirky-ness since moving to the UK, but this tops it all.
Tomorrow we leave for a Brighton to take in the seaside and sites. Our B&B is booked, seaside views and organic breakfasts planned and I have a list of boutique shops to visit. Just what we need. I'll be sure to take lots of photos!
No, April showers bring the 'Sex and the City' movie this May. As a devout box set watcher, I am super excited about seeing this! With having to wait until September for my first round of IVF treatment, I am searching for things to look forward to. At least I have the month of May covered...
Other movies I am looking forward to this year: [ok, so I may be a romantic comedy fanatic]
1. MUSICOVERY: Interactive Web Radio. This site is fantastic and is now my browser homepage. I’m having elec-tastic time listening to 90's Electro this afternoon. I feel as if I should be in a dark club sipping a sugary Cosmo in a dainty martini glass, licking sugar from the rim, making eyes to a suit across the room. It is tres sexy music, oooo la la. The colour and boldness of the layout is cheerful and fun. It is much more specific than Pandora which has been a favourite of mine until now.
2. Lloyds TSB Banking Advert here in the UK. When I write some of my children's book stories, this is exactly what I picture. The colours, the movement, the layouts and shapes even the tune is incredibly fitting to my imagination. I now have the tune set as my ring tone on my phone. I adore it.
3. Champagne Top Chairs. I may have some competition! During the Christmas holidays, handsome man o' man and I made tiny chairs out of wine and champagne tops. It looks like we were not the first to think of such. Here is a photo I found of other designs. Precious! I'll have to step my game up on the the designs now!
As I do not want to shoot the gun too soon, I will not reveal all the details of this exciting information but, sweet man of mine and I have been asked for an interview and photo session as a part of a relationships column for the UK magazine Marie Claire...
A company in Australia, Ilove, has certainly got the right idea when they launched this water bottle and 32 page glossy in one.
Refreshing, sassy and very cool, iLove targets the young, fashionable woman on the go.

Let's hope this treat goes universal! Don't worry, the messege isn't inside the bottle.
